What Fareduck does
Fareduck surfaces flight deals it thinks you'll like, based on preferences you provide. We're an information service, not a booking engine, travel agency, or seller of travel. Clicking a deal takes you to a partner site (Skyscanner, Google Flights, the airline directly, etc.) where the actual booking happens. We're not party to that transaction.
Prices and accuracy
Fares move constantly. The price we show is the price our data partner quoted us when our search ran — usually within the last few hours, but always check the live price on the booking site before paying.
We don't guarantee fares will be available at click time. If a deal disappears between digest and click, that's the airline adjusting inventory, not us hiding something.
Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure. Use a password manager.
- One account per person. If you want a shared family persona, hit us up — that's on the roadmap.
- We can suspend abusive accounts: scraping, spamming our forms, attempting to break the click-attribution chain, etc.
Email digests
By signing up, you're asking for the weekly digest. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also pause for 30 days or hard-unsub from /preferences. We honour unsub requests within minutes.
Affiliate links
Most CTAs in the digest and on /deals route through our short-link tracker (fareduck.io/go/<token>). When you click, we record the click and 302 you to the partner. If you book, the partner pays us a commission. This never affects ranking. Sponsored content is always labelled.
Acceptable use
- Don't scrape Fareduck. Use our API if/when we ship one.
- Don't resell, re-publish, or otherwise commercialise our deal feed.
- Don't try to break the click attribution (faking referrers, click-spamming, etc.) — affiliate networks audit, and we'll ban accounts that game us.
- Don't use Fareduck for anything illegal.
Premium tier (when it launches)
Paid plans will be billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period — no refunds for partial periods. If we materially change Plus pricing, we'll email you at least 30 days in advance.
Disclaimers
Fareduck is provided as-is. We work hard to surface accurate fares, but we're not responsible for booking errors, fare disputes with airlines, missed connections, visa issues, or anything else that happens after you click through. Your travel arrangements are between you and the airline / OTA.
Liability
To the extent the law allows: our total liability for any claim is capped at what you've paid us in the last 12 months (currently $0 for free accounts; whatever your Plus subscription cost when that launches). We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
Changes
We'll update these terms occasionally. Material changes get an email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
